The present invention provides a device for removing residual water of ballast tanks and a method for removing the residual water of the ballast tanks capable of opening a wrench groove inside a vessel as the wrench groove is formed at the lateral surface inside the vessel to a drain plug of a drain hole for discharging the residual water previously installed to the bottom of a hull in which the ballast tank is formed, and discharging the residual water through a drain chamber by installing the drain chamber formed to be detachable to a bottom outer plate of the hull in which the drain hole is formed. The residual water on the bottom of the hull can be easily and rapidly removed so that a drying period of the vessel is shortened. Personnel expenses can be reduced by minimizing manpower for a residual water removing work. |
