The present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition comprising an extract derived from a natural plant and more specifically, to an antimicrobial composition comprising an extract of Corylopsis gotoana, Erythronium japonicum, Angelica utilis, or Paragmites communis as an active ingredient. The extract of the present invention has no toxicity and an outstanding antibacterial activity for various pathogenic microorganisms, and the effects are superior even only with a very small amount. Thereby the extract can be used for various anti-bacterial agents, antifungal agents, food preservation additives, cosmetic additives, and antifungal pesticides. |
