<p>A backlight apparatus (12) is provided with: an LED (17); a light guide plate (16); an optical member (15); a chassis (30), which is formed by folding a metal plate material, and which is provided with a bottom plate portion (31), a raised portion (32) raised to the side opposite to the light guide plate (16) from the bottom plate portion (31), said raised portion forming a first corner portion (36a) between the bottom plate portion (31) and the raised portion, and a step portion (33) that is provided to form a second corner portion (36b) between the raised portion (32) and the step portion by having a step with respect to the bottom plate section (31); and a heat dissipating member (19), which dissipates heat of the LED (17), and which is provided with a light source attaching portion (19a), and a chassis contact portion (19b) that is in contact with the step portion (33) from the side opposite to the light guide plate (16).</p> |
