The image processing device includes: enhancement direction determining unit configured to calculate spatial frequency of input image data and determine frequency component in which distribution amount of the spatial frequency maximizes; and enhancement processing unit configured to perform enhancement process by applying, to the input image data, enhancement amount that varies according to the distribution amount of the space frequency, based on the determined frequency component. |
