The present invention relates to a plant transformation using a 3' untranslated region interacting protein (UIP1) gene, which is derived from Oryza sativa, as a recombinant vector. More particularly, the present invention relates to increasing the resistance of a plant to drought stress and non-biological stress, such as high salinity and low temperature. According to the present invention, since the resistance of a mono-cotyledonous plant and other plants to non-biological stress can be increased through a transformation using UIP1, the present invention can largely contribute to the mass production of useful agricultural products and the improvement of plant species. It is considered that the present invention is to be used in the agricultural and food fields, thereby contributing to preparations for future food shortages. In the future, the present invention will largely help to secure national competitiveness in seed wars arising from food shortages and involving all the countries of the world.
|
