A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention is a prismatic nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with a battery capacity not less than 15 Ah. The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes an electrode assembly, a nonaqueous electrolyte, and a container. The electrode assembly includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator. The negative electrode is opposed to the positive electrode. The separator is disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains lithium bis(oxalato)borate (LiBOB). The container houses the electrode assembly and the nonaqueous electrolyte. At least part of the container is formed using stainless steel. |
