The movable table (1) has a chassis (2) with two rollers (3,4) for moving the table on a ground (U), where a brake plate (10) of the chassis is adjustable in height relative to the ground. The brake plate rests in a lower position on the rollers to prevent the movement of the table. The brake plate releases the rollers in an upper position to allow the movement of the table. An adjusting device (11) is provided for the manual adjustment of the brake plate from the upper position to the lower position and vice versa. The adjusting device is connected with the brake plate through a cable (12).
