The collector has an absorber tube (2), an absorption reinforcing medium and a pressure-reducing casing for surrounding the absorber tube. The tube is connected with a heat transfer medium e.g. water, in a heat-transmitting manner. The casing is designed as a double-walled insulation pipe (3) and provided with an inner pipe part (4) and an outer pipe part (5). The pipe parts are arranged coaxial to the absorber tube, where ends (6) of the pipe parts are merged with one another when an intermediate area between the pipe parts is evacuated. The pipe parts are made from borosilicate glass.
