PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt conveyance device realizing an image output at significantly high speed as well as preventing image distortion and color shift by securely correcting deviation and inclination of an endless belt, and thereby realizing an output of a significantly high quality image.SOLUTION: A belt conveyance device adjusts attitude of stretching means and moves one end of the stretching means with respect to the other end in a crossing direction crossing the width direction of an endless belt by first adjustment means. The belt conveyance device adjusts attitude of the other stretching means and moves one end of the stretching means with respect to the other end in a crossing direction crossing the width direction of the endless belt by second adjustment means. The endless belt is conveyed by belt driving means, and the position of the endless belt is controlled in two width directions by respectively driving the first and the second adjustment means independently. The friction coefficient between the stretching means moved by the first adjustment means and the endless belt is made larger than the friction coefficient between the other stretching means moved by the second adjustment means and the endless belt. |
