PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for optimizing content distribution in a peer-to-peer network.SOLUTION: At least two different data sources can distribute digital data to a network, and the data sources have substantially the same copy of digital data composed of a plurality of parts. This method includes a step for receiving a list of subsets of at least two data sources, and selecting one or a plurality of subsets of at least two data sources on the basis of the list. Digital data is distributed to an end user from a data source selected between at least two data sources. A parameter for distributing the digital data to the end user is monitored, and the configuration of the data source selected between the at least two data sources is adjusted on the monitored parameter such that the connected configuration of the selected data source meets a specification. |
