PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-stage-compression heat pump system capable of using heat in two temperature zones, enabling two stages of compressors to function as the two stages of compressors and operating with high efficiency even in the case of a single operation in each temperature band.SOLUTION: A two-stage-compression heat pump system includes a two-stage compressor 2 causing a higher-stage compressor 5 to sequentially compress an intermediate-pressure refrigerant compressed by a lower-stage compressor 4 to a high-pressure refrigerant. A high-temperature-heat utilization system 24 uses the high-pressure refrigerant discharged from the higher-stage compressor 5, and an intermediate-temperature-heat utilization system 34 uses the intermediate-pressure refrigerant discharged from the lower-stage compressor 4, thereby making it possible to simultaneously use the heat in two temperature zones. The refrigerants used by the systems 24 and 34 are merged with each other after having passed through a first expansion valve 11 and a second expansion valve 12, the resultant refrigerant is transformed into vaporized gas by an air-heat exchanger 13, and the vaporized gas is drawn into the lower-stage compressor 4. |
