PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a ceramic honeycomb structure capable of improving production efficiency by reducing necessity of off-line inspection.SOLUTION: A method for producing a ceramic honeycomb structure 100 includes: a shape determination step A for measuring the outer peripheral shape of each ceramic honeycomb dried body 50 in which a plurality of cells 52 extending from one end face 61 to the other end face 62 are formed sectionally by partitions 51, and removing a ceramic honeycomb dried body 50 not satisfying a specified condition; a finishing step B for obtaining a finished ceramic honeycomb dried body 70 by finishing a ceramic honeycomb dried body 50 satisfying the specified condition so that a length in the direction L from the one end face toward the other end face agrees with a finished dimension; and a firing step C for obtaining the ceramic honeycomb structure 100 by firing the finished ceramic honeycomb dried body 70. |
