PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door opening assist device which opens sliding door sashes such as double sliding sashes or the like with a strong force at an initial operation.SOLUTION: A sliding door opening assist device includes: a force accumulation mechanism 11 accumulating forces; a transfer mechanism 14 transferring a reaction force contacting components other than sliding doors to the force accumulation mechanism along with closing movement of the sliding doors; a release mechanism 12 holding and releasing the forces which the force accumulation mechanism accumulates; and an assist component 13 contacting the components other than the sliding doors by the forces accumulated in the force accumulation mechanism when releasing the forces of the force accumulation mechanism so as to assist an initial operation of opening movement of the sliding doors. The transfer mechanism and the force accumulation mechanism, or the like, are freely engaged or disengaged. The transfer mechanism engages with the force accumulation mechanism or the like when accumulating the forces in the force accumulation mechanism and disengages when releasing the forces accumulated in the force accumulation mechanism. |
