The secondary battery include a battery cell having a cell tap, a protection circuit module having a circuit pattern and electrically connected to the cell tap, and a connection tap electrically connected to the circuit pattern and attached to the protection circuit module. The connection tap includes a conductive layer attached to the protection circuit module, a first plating layer formed on the conductive layer, and a second conductive layer formed on the first plating layer.
