PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve readability of text by switching display of rubies in accordance with the size of characters displayed on a screen.SOLUTION: An electronic book for displaying text data, when receiving change of a display magnification by a reader, displays text data to which rubies are added when the changed magnification is one for displaying in a larger way than at a predetermined magnification, and displays text data from which rubies are deleted when it is one for displaying in a smaller way than at the predetermined magnification. Then, it is determined whether to display rubies depending on resolution of a screen and the size of line spacing of text data to be displayed.
