According to an embodiment, an image processing device includes an obtaining unit, a specifying unit, a first setting unit, a second setting unit, and a processor. The obtaining unit is configured to obtain a three-dimensional image. The specifying unit is configured to, according to an inputting operation performed by a user, specify three-dimensional coordinate values in the three-dimensional image. The first setting unit is configured to set a designated area which indicates an area including the three-dimensional coordinate values. The second setting unit is configured to set a masking area indicating an area that masks the designated area when the three-dimensional image is displayed. The processor is configured to perform image processing with respect to the three-dimensional image in such a way that the masking area is displayed in a more transparent manner as compared to the display of the remaining area. |
