The invention provides an apparatus for industrial process control comprising: a plurality of replicated processing modules for receiving replicated sensor input data and for producing replicated output data in which each of said plurality of replicated processing modules is connected to another one of said plurality of replicated processing modules via a dedicated high speed connection.
