<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch power even if a drive torque is applied, in a power transmission switching method of a slide spline system. <P>SOLUTION: A gear switching mechanism applied with the power transmission switching method includes a clutch hub 21 and a gear piece 24 which are coaxially and relatively rotatably arranged, and a sleeve 26 which is spline-engaged with the external periphery of the clutch hub, reciprocally shifted in the axial direction, and spline-engaged with and released from the gear piece. While a shift force is applied to the sleeve in a direction where the spline engagement is released, the drive torque transmitted between the clutch hub and the gear piece is controlled so as to be periodically varied at a certain amplitude with a certain average torque as a center, and a friction resistance force which is generated in a spline engagement part and withstands the shift of the sleeve is also periodically varied. The amplitude of the output torque of an electric motor which applys the drive torque is controlled so that a minimum value of the friction resistance force becomes smaller than the shift force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
