PURPOSE: Non-magnetic structural steel with excellent machinability and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain the structural steel of which the strength, the machinability, and non-magnetic properties are excellent while minimizing the manufacturing costs by properly controlling an alloy element. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing non-magnetic structural steel with excellent machinability includes the following steps of: reheating a slab comprising one or two kinds selected from a group composed of 0.1-1.0 wt% of C, 8-25 wt% of Mn, 3.0 wt% or less of Al, 0.1 wt% or less of P, 0.01-0.2 wt% of Ti, 0.4 wt% or less of S (except for 0), and 0.04-0.2 wt% of Bi, and the rest of Fe and unavoidable impurities at a temperature of 1050-1300°C; hot-rolling the reheated slab at a temperature of 850-1000°C; and rewinding the hot-rolled structure steel at a temperature of 550°C or less. |
