METHOD FOR PREDICTING COURSE OF FUNCTIONAL DYSPHONIA

A method for predicting the course of the functional dysphonia comprises phoniatric examination and analysis of laryngeal and extralaryngeal complaints of the patient according to the standard procedure. In addition, videolaryngostroboscopy is used. The results are scored in points. The amplitude of the acoustic reflex of intra-aural muscles is analyzed. When videolaryngostroboscopy gives the value (8.09±0.17) and higher with amplitude of the acoustic reflex (0.17±0.004) and (0.17±0.006) cmand lower upon ipsi- and contralateral stimulation respectively, the unfavorable course of the functional dysphonia is suggested in the setting of the involvement of brainstem division of the acoustic analyzer.
