FIELD: electricity.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric engineering, to electric machines of reciprocal action. Bar-wound linear electric machine contains runner (1) and stator (2) consisting of crossbar (3) with excitation winding (4) and two longitudinal bars (5) with armature winding (6). Longitudinal bars (5) have circular section. Runner (1) covers longitudinal bars (5). Female parts (7) of runner (1) are made with variable cross-section which square area is not less than ratio of design magnetic flow at this area to design flux density. Runner (1) consists of two parts (7) covering longitudinal bars (5) and connecting junction (8) with length l. Stator (2) contains two rod guides (9). Runner (1) is equipped with guide bushings (10) covering rod guides (9).EFFECT: reducing costs due to improvement efficiency of materials use.7 cl, 2 dwg
