A machine spindle assembly comprises a housing, a main drive spindle located inside a quill with possibility of direct transfer of torque from a stator of a motor of rotational movement to a rotor, which is mechanically connected to the spindle, and a feed drive arranged coaxially with the spindle. To increase the specific power of rotational motion of the spindle and cutting power feed and to eliminate unnecessary mechanical transfers and losses a feed drive is made in the form of a cylindrical motor of translational motion and a spindle mechanically and electromagnetically combines the function of a rotating rotor and secondary elements of a linear motor, while the stator of rotating motor is single-wound with a double-sided active surface and is overhung to the quill with possibility of reciprocating movement within the working stroke of the feed drive, and its rotor is concentric in the form of inner and outer elementary rotors covering double-sided active surface both inside and outside the stator and located in the front portion of the spindle, while the opposite portion of the spindle is formed as a cylindrical secondary element with permanent magnets of alternate polarities in the direction of feed. |
