The invention relates to a cover which is placed on existing barriers in order to improve the features of travel paths, reducing noise and light levels and improving motorist safety and installation and maintenance costs. The cover comprises a lower segment (2) designed to at least partially cover a portion of a road barrier element (4); and an upper segment (3) disposed on the lower segment (2) so as to extend beyond the upper portion of the barrier (4). The lower segment (2) is made from a first shock- and sound-absorbing material and the upper segment (3) is made from a second opaque sound-absorbing material that is preferably hollow. |
