PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic master cylinder and a manufacturing method thereof, for arranging a protector and a separator in a reservoir, by using one master cylinder casting.SOLUTION: A master cylinder casing 1 forms a thick part 7 having a thickness capable of installing a separator 4 for integrally covering an upper part of a supply board 6a and a relief board 6b and having a recessed part 2c in a central part, between a cylinder body forming part 5 and a reservoir forming part 2. The recessed part 2c is formed with a protector installing part 2e for installing the protector for covering the upper part of the relief board 6b bored-processed in a bottom plate part 2d of the recessed part 2c. When installing the protector in a liquid storage chamber 2a, the protector is installed in the protector installing part 2e. When installing the separator in a bottom part of the liquid storage chamber, a separator installing part 2g is formed by cutting-processing a sidewall 2f of the recessed part 2c, the bottom plate part 2d and the protector installing part 2e, and the separator is installed in the separator installing part 2g. |
