PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit and a drive method for a light emitting display device that can achieve excellent picture quality when a light emitting element is made to emit light with a desired brightness level.SOLUTION: A pixel circuit comprises a light emitting element where brightness is determined on the basis of supplied current; and a drive transistor for supplying current to the light emitting element. A period for storing potential, including a threshold value of a drive transistor (Tr10) in a capacitive element (19) of a pixel circuit by using operational amplifies (AMP7 and AMP8) of a threshold value correcting circuit, is set. The potential of the capacitive element (19) is input to a gate potential of the drive transistor (Tr10) in a light emission element drive period to control brightness of the light emitting element (9) with a value of current flowing at this time. The threshold value correcting circuit may be provided for each pixel circuit column. |
