The present invention relates to a purification method of ionic liquid removing high boiling point organic compounds in the ionic liquid. The purification method of the ionic liquid removing the high boiling point organic compounds in the ionic liquid of the present invention: has an excellent purification effect compare to an existing purification method using a regular organic solvent for producing high purity ionic liquid; has a simple purification process for improving an economic effect; and has an excellent environmental effect of reducing the generation amount of a waste solvent by using the small amount of solvents compare to the existing purification method using the large amount of organic solvents for producing the high purity ionic liquid. The purification method of the ionic liquid can be applied to various fields including an organic synthesis, an electrochemical biotechnology, chemical technology, and separation processes.
