PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a model animal and screening method capable of evaluating an effect on treatment or prevention of eyelid disease.SOLUTION: It is provided: a method of changing the condition of mammal eyelid other that than that of human; a model animal for evaluation of an effect on treatment or prevention of eyelid disease exerted by the method; a producing method for the model animal; a screening method utilizing the model animal; a substance exerting the effect on treatment or prevention of eyelid disease selected with the screening method and treating or preventing agent of eyelid disease comprising the substance as an active ingredient.
