<p>[Problem] To provide an electric power conversion device with which an electric power reduction effect is achieved. [Solution] An electric power conversion device capable of converting or boosting and converting an output of a DC power source (1) into AC power, and subsequently supplying a load via armatures (31a, 31b) of a relay (21) is characterized by being provided with: a detector (24) for detecting the switching condition of the armatures of the relay (21); and an electrification controller (24) which electrifies an exciting coil (32) of the relay (21), and which, in the time period in which the detection unit (24) can detect a closed condition of the armatures of the relay (21), reduces the average electric power supplied to the exciting coil (32) of the relay (21) to a value corresponding to at least the electric power at which the closed condition of the armatures of the relay (21) can be maintained.</p> |
