PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition having short cure time, especially useful in adhesion of adherends to metal based products, excellent in thermal stability of cured product, and to provide a wet type friction plate using the same.SOLUTION: An adhesive composition containing a resol type phenol resin (A), a polyvinyl butyral resin (B), a polyvalent metal salt (C) preferably nickel acetate and cobalt acetate, a metal salt of nitrite (D) or an ester of nitrite (D) with preferably nickel acetate or cobalt acetate, and preferably sodium nitrite, and a friction material using the composition, are provided. |
