The head (1) has a free cutting surface with three main cutting edges (21, 41, 61) with a respective extension direction (29, 49, 69) with a predominant radial-direction component (K). A set of points of intersections (S1-S3) is provided for the respective extension directions having the main cutting edges. Each of the main cutting edges is arranged at a radial distance (2, 4, 6) with regard to a rotation axis of the head. The radial distances of the points of the intersections with regard to a working rotation axis (R) are different. An independent claim is also included for a drill bit.
