PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold an optical member against disturbance such as changes in temperature and to reduce relative misalignment of beam spots of three colors in an optical module.SOLUTION: The optical module includes a casing that mounts the optical module and an optical component holder 10a. The optical component holder 10a is provided with two inclined surfaces symmetric to each other with respect to a first plane 12a including the optical axis of an optical component; and the casing is provided with inclined surfaces respectively opposing to the two inclined surfaces of the optical component holder 10a. The one inclined surface of the optical component holder 10a and one inclined surface of the casing opposing to the optical component holder are symmetric to each other with respect to a second symmetry plane 16a that is parallel to the first plane 12a and includes a side line where extended planes of the inclined surface of the optical component holder 10a and of the inclined surface of the casing intersect. An adhesive is held between the symmetric inclined surfaces.
