Provided is a thin, narrow tube for use in a biodegradable medical device, comprising a round tube using magnesium material as a base material, wherein a desired outer diameter and inner diameter are provided with good precision across the entire area in the longitudinal direction and peripheral direction, and the length of the biodegradation time can be controlled without changing the material composition. The thin, narrow tube is used in a biodegradable medical device and is a round tube comprising crystals containing magnesium (Mg) having a hexagonal crystal structure, the crystal composing the round tube being such that the basal plane (0001) of the hexagonal crystal, when viewed from the tube-axis direction of the tube, is oriented at a prescribed inclined angle relative to the circumferential direction, which is perpendicular to the radial direction (the direction from the inner side surface to the outer side surface) of the tube. |
