PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy management system capable of preventing secondary damage.SOLUTION: An energy management system according to an embodiment comprises: an apparatus identification unit; a grasping unit; a storage unit; and a control unit. The apparatus identification unit identifies each electric apparatus connected to a power distribution system of a building supplied with commercial power. The grasping unit grasps an individual state of the identified electric apparatus. The storage unit stores a state management table for recording a state of each grasped electric apparatus at normal time, and a restoration permission table for registering permission to restore each electric apparatus to a state at the normal time after recovery from emergency time. The control unit makes each electric apparatus stop operation of the apparatus at the emergency time, and makes an electric apparatus permitted in the restoration permission table be restored to the state recorded in the state management table after the recovery from the emergency time.
