PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinder capable of shortening the whole grinding time, by switching a supply quantity of a grinding liquid without executing back-off.SOLUTION: The grinder comprises: rough grinding control means (t1-t3) for advancing a grinding wheel 15 to a workpiece W; retreat grinding control means (t3-t4) for grinding while reducing a deflection quantity ω of the workpiece W in rough grinding by retreating the grinding wheel 15 to the workpiece W after the rough grinding; and finishing grinding control means (t4-t6) for executing grinding or spark-out for advancing the grinding wheel 15 to the workpiece W after retreat grinding. A supply quantity Qmax of the grinding liquid in the rough grinding (t1-t3) is increased to be more than a supply quantity Qmin of the grinding liquid in finishing grinding (t4-t6), and is switched to the supply quantity Qmin of the grinding liquid in the finishing grinding from the supply quantity Qmax of the grinding liquid in the rough grinding in the retreat grinding (t3-t4). |
