PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means of enabling steady supply of a high-quality polarizing lens.SOLUTION: A method of mass-producing a polarizing lens includes; selecting, in terms of thickness, a plurality of lens substrates having identical or substantially identical thickness as lens substrates to be coated in batches from a plurality of candidate lens substrates; and lamp-heating the selected plurality of lens substrates in batches before coating the same in batches. The lamp-heating is done by placing a heat source for lamp-heating each lens substrate above each of the plurality of lens substrates and monitoring temperature of each lens substrate surface with grooves using surface temperature sensors. When temperature of the surface of each lens substrate is detected to have reached predetermined temperature by a respective surface temperature sensor, the lamp-heating of each lens substrate is terminated, and the coating process starts when lamp-heating of all the lens substrate is terminated. |
