The present invention relates to a sealing tool for a pouch case and a method of manufacturing a pouch-type secondary battery. A concave surface facing the pouch case is formed in the thermal pressing part of a pouch sealing tool. The shape of a sealed degassing surface exposed due to atmospheric pressure or external pressure which is higher than the atmospheric pressure after the degassing process is improved. Thereby, the insulation of a pouch-type secondary battery can be improved.
