NITROGEN OXIDE GAS SENSOR AND METHOD FOR MEASURING NITROGEN OXIDE GAS USING THE SAME

The present invention is to provide a nitrogen oxide gas sensor capable of obtaining long term stability by preventing the fluctuation of a background voltage whenever the total amount of nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen dioxide is measured. The nitrogen oxide gas sensor comprises: an oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte; a first layer coming in contact with the solid electrolyte in a first section and having a metallic oxide; a second layer coming in contact with the solid electrolyte in a second section separated from the first section and having the metallic oxide; an alternating current power source connected to the first layer through a first node, connected to the second layer through a second node, and alternatively applying positive and negative currents to the first and second nodes; and a measuring part for measuring the absolute value of potential difference between the first and second nodes.
