PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel prophylactic or ameliorating agent for pigmentation, and an external preparation for skin containing the same as a component.SOLUTION: The prophylactic or ameliorating agent for pigmentation comprises a compound represented by following general formula (1), an optical isomer thereof, and/or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof. The external preparation for skin contains the same as a component. The external preparation has an excellent prophylactic or ameliorating effect for pigmentation. In the formula (1), R1 represents a linear chain or branched alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atom(s) or a hydrogen atom. |
