[Problem] To provide a method for producing a basic amino acid or a basic amino acid salt each suitable for various use applications including medical applications, industrial applications, feed applications and food additive applications, which enables the highly efficient removal of HCl from a HCl salt of a basic amino acid in a simple manner. [Solution] The problem can be solved by a method for producing a basic amino acid and a basic amino acid salt, said method being characterized in that a weak acid is allowed to coexist during the removal of Cl from a solution of a HCl salt of a basic amino acid using an anion exchange resin. |
