PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery which allows a reliable determination of the quality of welding condition around a liquid injection hole by an inspection.SOLUTION: The sealed battery includes: an electrode body; a battery case which houses the electrode body and has an aperture plane; a lid member which closes the aperture plane of the battery case; a liquid injection hole passing through the lid member; and a sealing member sealing the liquid injection hole. The sealing member includes: a metal-made hole sealing plate welded with a portion of the lid member around the liquid injection hole, and sealing the liquid injection hole by covering the outside opening of the liquid injection hole; and an annular movable part which is in contact with the surface of the hole sealing plate inside the battery case and is freely displaced to a contact position where the movable part is in contact with the whole circumference of the liquid injection hole and to a non-contact position where the movable part is not in contact with at least a part of the liquid injection hole, and which seals the liquid injection hole when being located at the contact position. The movable part is displaced to the non-contact position when the pressure of the internal area inside the battery case which is sealed by the movable part located at the contact position is larger than the pressure of the external area opposite to the internal area across the movable part and the difference between the two pressures is more than a limit value. |
