PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire information about interest levels of consumers in a specific commodity by simple structure.SOLUTION: An interest level measurement system comprises: a sensor 2 as first and second detection means which detects a person having stopped in front of a featured commodity 9, and further detects a hand of a person having taken the featured commodity 9 in the hand; and a processing unit 3 which controls the sensor 2, stores the information of the people having stopped and the time when the respective people are detected, and the number of hands and the time when the respective hands are detected, and compiles statistics of the number of people having stopped and the number of hands for each specific time period.
