PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating how much a detected object exists in a monitoring space area in an arbitrary monitoring space area.SOLUTION: A space area including a monitoring space area whose range is arbitrarily set is photographed with two digital cameras. Parallax is obtained from an obtained digital image and a space coordinate position of an object taken in pixels is calculated. A set of adjacent pixels is discriminated and is aggregated to detect whether the object exists in the monitoring space area by a ratio of the number of pixels existing within the monitoring space area in pixels included in the set and the number of pixels which do not exist in the area. Namely, a rate that the object occupies in the monitoring space area is detected from the number of pixels existing in positions included in the monitoring space area among the pixels included in the set of the adjacent pixels. |
