The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a multi-functional polyester fiber and a multi-functional polyester fiber manufactured thereby which comprises the steps of: irradiating mixture of a polyester master batch chip containing tungsten cesium oxide-based particles and a general polyester chip; and cooling using a cooling device having a nozzle insulation heater and a central annular discharge type cooling device. The multi-functional polyester fiber provides excellent far-infrared radiation, regenerative thermal insulation, radiation work efficiency, and staining.
