The method involves advancing a film (3) at an angle (6) to a substrate (1), or the substrate at the film. A surface of the film is provided with electrical charges, which are provided on the oppositely lying substrate in deficit, for causing adhering of the film on the substrate. Upper electrodes are provided, and the substrate is rotatingly or windingly moved relative to the film. The substrate is used as a lower electrode or a counter electrode. The electrodes are temporally variably switched so that the charges are dispensed on the moving substrate on a straight region to be deposited.
