The present invention relates to dyes for a color filter and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein the dyes includes compounds formed due to ionic bond between acid dyes (A) represented by chemical formula 1 and basic dyes(B) represented by the chemical formula 2, and more specifically, to dyes for a color filter, wherein an aryl group is a phenyl group or a naphthalene diary group.
