The present invention relates to an upper thread clamp device for a sewing machine, and more specifically, to an upper thread clamp device which is installed in a sewing machine to clamp an automatically delivered upper thread when an one-time sewing work is finished during a sewing work using a sewing machine. The upper thread clamp device for a sewing machine according to the present invention includes a motor (10) which is combined and installed on one side of an arm and has a motor shaft alternately rotating to the right and left at a predetermined angle by the control signal of a control device, a clamp block (40) fixed in the lower portion of a presser foot, a rotary shaft (41) which is rotationally inserted into a clamp block, is provided with the rotational angular motion of the motor from one side and delivers the rotational angular motion to a holder pin on the other side, the holder pin (44) which is attached to the rotary shaft, is provided with the rotational angular motion of the rotary shaft, and alternately rotates, a stopper pin (46) which is installed on the right and clamp blocks around the rotary shaft and has a stopper (47) which clamps an upper thread by contacting with the holder pin (44), and a presser foot block (60) which is detachable from the bottom of the clamp block and has a presser foot on the bottom thereof. |
