PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source control device for preventing power shortage in an information processor.SOLUTION: A power source control device detects the live-line insertion of a device into an information processor which receives the supply of a power from a part of a plurality of power supply units, and measures a supply power as a power the supply of which is received by the information processor from a part of the plurality of power supply units, and stores a use power to be used by the device, and estimates a necessary power necessary for the information processor in the live-line insertion of the device from the measured supply power and the use power, and determines whether or not the necessary power exceeds the sum of the suppliable power of each of the power supply units during the supply of a power to the information processor causing power shortage, and when the live-line insertion is detected, and the storage determination result is the power shortage, makes the power supply unit which does not supply a power to the information processor supply a power, and when the determination result is not the power shortage, does not make the power supply unit supply a power. |
