PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize miniaturization and compactification of a crawler type searching robot and cost reduction, and to make the crawler type searching robot possible surely climbing over a high level difference and freely adjusting an angle of a CCD camera arranged on a front wall of a vehicle body.SOLUTION: Both of support shafts 9a of an U-shape arm 9 are rotatably attached to both of side walls of a vehicle body 1 of a crawler traveling device so as to be arranged between driving wheels 2 and between axles of driven wheels 3. When caterpillar bands reach nearly front of a level difference, during the caterpillar bands 4 climb over a near side upper corner part of the level difference, and when pictures showing upper and lower environment are taken with a CCD camera 8 arranged on a front wall of the vehicle body 1, a vehicle body width direction arm 9c attached to a tip of arm parts 9d is rotated toward a front end/lower side or a rear end/lower side of the caterpillar band 4 so that external environment is pressed in order to control an inclination angle of the vehicle body. |
