PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the state of a current flowing through a switch element.SOLUTION: A switch control circuit 11 includes: a driver section (111 to 113) performing on/off control of a switch element 12; and a current detection section B monitoring a detection voltage Ve according to a current Ie (Ic) flowing at the time of ON state of the switch element 12 and detecting the state of the current Ie (Ic) flowing through the switch element 12 by comparing the detection voltage Ve with a plurality of threshold voltages by using the Ic-Vbe characteristics of a bipolar transistor or the Id-Vgs characteristics of a field-effect transistor.
