PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a simple configuration and capable of locking an image reading device in a closed state, as well as regulating the opening of the image reading device to prevent excessive opening, and holding the image reading device in a half-open state.SOLUTION: When a front-side end part of an image reading device 2 is lifted up, an engaging pawl 93d of a lock part 93 is caught by a second position regulating part 94, and accordingly, the opening of the image reading device 2 is regulated at the fixed opening. A second inclined part 93c facing obliquely downward of the lock part 93 is mounted on a second holding part 95 facing obliquely upward of an image forming apparatus 1 side, the front-side end part of the image reading device 2 is held at a second position P2, and accordingly, the image reading device 2 is supported at the fixed opening. |
